Privacy Policy
Effective date · 25.08.2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 3Angle (“3Angle”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit and use bimBible.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
The Site is a free BIM (Building Information Modeling) reference platform, currently offering a glossary of BIM terms. It is operated by 3Angle. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at info@bimbible.com.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. Specifically:
a) Information you provide. If you submit your email address through a “notify me” / waitlist form on the Site, we collect that email address, along with the section you signed up for and the date of your submission.
b) Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and caching software may process basic technical data needed to deliver the Site (for example, your browser type and a coarse, masked version of your IP address). We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If we add such tools in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and the Site does not require you to create an account to browse the glossary.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- send you a one-time notification when a section you signed up for launches;
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- respond to your enquiries; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Legal bases (for EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, when you submit your email to our waitlist), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Service providers
We may rely on trusted third parties to host the Site and deliver our services (for example, our web hosting and email infrastructure providers). These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services to us.
6. Data retention
We keep waitlist email addresses until the relevant section launches and the notification has been sent, or until you ask us to remove your data — whichever comes first. Technical logs are retained only for as long as needed to operate and secure the Site.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@bimbible.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International transfers
We operate from outside some of the regions our visitors come from, which means your information may be processed in a country different from your own. Where required, we take appropriate safeguards to protect your data during such transfers.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
